A feeling in, an action and a reason out

She says it is hot. The agent checks the rooms, the time and her usual setting, then acts on its own — and tells her what it did, in Arabic.

  1. Observe — 41 °C outside, the living room occupied, the guest room empty.
  2. Plan — cool only the room in use, to her usual 24 °C; close the curtains.
  3. Act and reply — through the home’s Tuya-based AC controller and curtain motor, with a voice note back.

AC-first comfort

Cooling is the biggest load in a UAE home. The agent pre-cools only the rooms in use and learns each person’s preferred temperature.

Routines around the day

Schedules can follow sunrise, sunset and the day’s prayer times — lights, curtains and quiet hours — only if the family asks for them.

The whole family, one home

Grandparents, parents and children can all message the home. Alerts go to the people the family chooses.

Consent first, data in-region

Nothing is shared without the family’s permission, and pilot data is planned to stay in the region. A family member can override anything.

Medicines, hospital visits and prayer times

Reminders arrive as WhatsApp voice notes in Arabic or English, the lights follow the five daily prayers, calculated each day for the home’s city, and the family hears about anything that is missed. Watch one simulated day in two homes.

    Medicine reminders

    • The family sets the schedule once: which tablets, and when.
    • At each time, a voice note in the elder’s language, and the medicine-shelf light pulses.
    • No reply after 20 minutes: a second reminder. Still nothing after 10 more: a WhatsApp alert to the family.
    • The agent never changes a medicine or a dose. Only the family can edit the schedule.

    Hospital visits

    • The family adds appointments, or forwards the hospital’s message to the home on WhatsApp.
    • Reminders the evening before and on the day: when to leave and what to take.
    • The family hears the plan, and again when the elder leaves home.
    • After the visit, a new prescription goes to the family to confirm before any reminder changes.

    Prayer-time lights

    • The five daily prayer times are calculated each day from the sun’s position for the home’s city, with no internet lookup.
    • Five minutes before: a soft warm glow in the prayer room.
    • At prayer time: the prayer-room light turns warm and bright, other lights dim, and a gentle reminder goes out. After 20 minutes, everything returns to how it was.
    • A low hallway light at Fajr; lights stay off if nobody is home. Only for families who switch it on.
